Women of Influence 2017 honored in San Jose
The Silicon Valley Business Journal will honor and celebrate the 100 most influential women in Silicon Valley. Honorees have been selected from the private, public and nonprofit sectors.
About 700 attendees turned out to celebrate this year’s class of Women of Influence at an awards event Thursday night at the DoubleTree by Hilton in San Jose.
As in years past, the 2017 Women of Influence represent a diverse and exceptionally accomplished group of Silicon Valley women from across a range of industries, including technology, the nonprofit sector, accounting, law, retail, small business and government.
More than a quarter of this year’s Women of Influence were born outside the United States.
Of those born in the U.S., almost a third hail originally from California.
Illinois has six while 15 women were born along the East Coast. Five honorees did not tell us where they were born.
