Heather Elzinga is the owner and pastry chef of Krazy Kake A Holics, a one-woman business in Charlevoix, Northern Michigan.

Her confections are recognized for excellence and named Best of Weddings 2024 & 2025 by The Knot. The 2025 Michigan Celebrates Small Business honored Krazy Kake A Holics as a 2025 Micro Business Awards winner.

Heather bakes and decorates every cake that is ordered from her shop.

She says, “I’m immensely grateful to my customers for their love and admiration of my cakes, for their kind words about my work. Without my amazing clients, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.”

She has worked all her life in the food industry contacting directly with customers. Wanting to develop her passion for baking she got a diploma in the Culinary Baking and Pastry Program.

Every occasion deserves a show-stopping dessert. Whether you’re celebrating a company milestone, hosting a family gathering, or planning a sophisticated event, Krazy Kakes A Holics offers custom cakes, pastries, and sweet displays tailored to your vision.

What’s the cost of cakes?

Each cake is made custom to order. There is a planning process to determine the order, special requests and budget. These are premium cakes that are tailored individually to each customer and take a lot of time to bake and decorate.

On overall, the cost of small bites ranges $3-$5 per serving, of miniature/small cakes – $50-$100, of custom cakes – $150-$500.

Wedding cakes are priced in tiers averaging $250/$550/$750. All estimates are subject to change depending on the order.

Customers can contact Krazy Kake A Holics by phone, email, Facebook messenger, Instagram, or through the Website Contact Form. Customers are asked to send as much detailed information as possible, including the date of the event, the number of guests, the address and delivery time, the inspiration pictures, a general idea of the size/look/theme of the cake that the customers are interested in, and a list of their favorite cake flavors.

Krazy Kakes A Holics offers specialty menus for Gluten Friendly and Vegan dessert options. All products will still be made in a location that uses nuts, milk and other allergens but will take extreme care with the customers’ needs. The firm does not offer sugar free items.

Almost all orders are delivered or scheduled for pickup in Charlevoix, MI. Delivery is highly recommended for a $25 fee to surrounding areas. Some orders may require an additional set up fee or stand rental if required.
